I have told my self since I was very young some day there would be a Shelby in my garage.
After the passing in 2012 it was now or never to own a new Carroll Shelby design.

Mustang Cobra. Nice. I'll race you in my Excursion... as long as I get to choose where the race is.

I prefer the classics.

This one will be graced with the 289 Cobra version someday, whenever the current motor dies. 230,000 miles and it is still plugging along.

But I must admit, yours is a beauty.

The only problem I had with my Cobra is the tickets I got. I swear the car would idle at 80mph.

Find someone that's good with programming the computer cars and that thing can be extremely scary. They set the power curve up so that people don't die leaving the parking lot. Over 600hp in a street car is huge. I would defineltly research that.

Yep, not me! I've ridden motorcycles that would do 9 in the 1/4 mile and stopped at 186mph (factory limit) and I will not own one of those either.

My neighbor has a GT500 snake. Beautiful ride. He just had it dyno'd and tuned. Making 551HP at the wheels and massive torque just off idle. I have to listen to that sweet exhaust note every morning as he leaves for work before me. Blower sounds like a friggin' jet turbine when you ramp it up. Just awesome (and I get to drive it quite a bit :-))))))))))

Its been interesting how lately most performance upgrades are initially done with chips. I worked with a guy doing computer system upgrades who was a total tuner for Japanese cars. He told me about how he and some buddies were putting parts from other cars on theirs and they had to more or less hack the cars programming to copy in bits and pieces of code to get various things to work. Up until that point I had never considered hacking a car computer lol. This was about 8 years ago now so who knows whats out there now.

He hand plans of building something out of it but its his daily driver. I will see what he says. I am blessed to work close to his shop and for whatever reason he likes me.

Very true. Not too long ago I was able to get some seat time in a moderately built Fox body Mustang... HOLY MOLEY!!! If you've never driven a 12 second car... try it some time. I'm a fairly good driver, got a commercial license, etc bla bla... And the things you can do with a very fast car are very addicting. The guy who owned the car was with me when I was driving, but was encouraging me to push the limits a little. When you drop a gear at 50 mph, and are able to get the tires loose... OH MAN it's such a rush it's incredible. I am seeing quite a few GT 500's now being used as daily drivers... We live in the best of times automotive wise.

The final unicorn, sweet. They say those'll do 202mph, given enough space.

Ahh, white, for when you absolutely, positively must see every last single speck of dirt anywhere on the car simultaneously...
On the flipside, big blue triangular vinyls on the doors may just help camouflage you a bit, lol!

Goto YouTube. There is a hilarious video of Jeff Gordon dressed up like someone else going to a car lot and test driving a SS Camaro. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen
