One of my students gave me this after class tonight.

Life is pretty damn good. I've had the opportunity to work with a lot of good people over the years, and the opportunity to share it with a lot of other good people. I'm very thankful for that, and have appreciated every minute of it.

It sure brought a smile to my face to feel that kind of appreciation back.

Cheers!

If I remember correctly you liked that 18 Macallan :drooling:

Brent, I think a gentleman always shows appreciation for a job well done. I'm sure it was.

Sure beats the heck out of magic rainbow dust and Unicorn glitter.

Indeed. The wife bought me a bottle for graduation. It joins several other Macallan bottles, several bottles of Glenmorangie finished in different casks, a nice cask strength Balvinie, and an awesome Arbelour A'bunadh batch 32.

The best!!! Add two drops of spring water to open the flavor and drink it out of a snifter. Lagavulin is to be savored!

Two drops? Interesting. I put in one ice cube of distilled water...perhaps I am adding too much water! But a top shelf bottle is always a good gift...I have a close friend that has an FFL. He orders things for a lot of us, and won't ever take a cash payment. So now and again, I bring him a premium bottle as thanks. To me, that is just good manners.

Two drops and swirl in the snifter. It makes a dramatic difference.

I shall try this tonight. Never used a snifter for anything but Brandy, but it makes perfect sense for the complexity of Scotch. Thanks for the tip!
