Ok, follow my line of thinking here...
There's a famous breakfast combination--steak & eggs. I always thought it was a little strange, but have tried it a couple times and it's generally enjoyable. But I've never been 'wowed' by it. However...
This morning I wanted a hearty, protein-rich breakfast to carry me for a good while. Out of the fridge came the eggs--always a good start. Then I spied a container holding the left over beef stew that I made a couple nights ago. It was very rich, thick, meaty, wonderful stuff with big hunks of carrots, red potatoes and fall-apart tender beef. And I thought to myself, "Hmm...in the realm of a famous breakfast combo...it might work..."
A few minutes later a couple runny-yolked sunny-side-up'ers sat atop a bowl of hot beef stew, with some grapefruit on the side to relieve the palette from the onslaught of rich, beefy goodness, smoothed out and deepened by the yoke running into the broth. Sorry no pics, but I couldn't leave it alone long enough.

I like everything with eggs. I've been known to make an omelet out of left-over TexMex or pizza.

I think you'd have to be dead to not like smoked meat with eggs...

I, for one, would not trust a man who said 'no' to such a meal.

I never turn down a smoked meat hash with a couple of over-easy eggs on top. My breakfast this am was two bacon, two fried eggs, and a tomato.

the best meal ever after the Crucible. We ate so much to the point we couldn't move and puked.

Nah, I don't eat grains or sugars, so I'm never gassy. Your body loves eggs and digests them really well.

I also consume nearly zero sugar and only a bit more grain... but either way it cant be worse than my constant intake of tuna fish, veggies and coffee :bigeyes2:

Very few men could accomplish such a feat.....

In a word oatmeal. With sunflower seeds and raisins.
Almost always accompanied by some fruit and usually with some sugar snap peas.
If I'm still hungry, then some Eggos with Nutella.

A very fine breakfast! My normal breakfast is a pair of sunny side up eggs on top of whatever dead meat is in fridge smothered in green chile all on a tortilla so I don't miss any of the soppin's

I'm starting to skip a lot of the grains & 'complicated' carbs. Normally I'd toast up a couple slices of bread to go along with something like that for the purposes of "sopping," but the 'taters in the stew were pushing it enough already. You can always be childlike, as the Lord bids us to be....just pick up your plate & lick that bad boy clean. :finger:

You guys have me starving!! One of my favorites is left over venison back strip sliced thin and grilled hot and fast leaving it a little pink. Seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, butter and red wine. Pair that with fried eggs topped with red pepper and a side of home grown tomato.
You guys that have cut the grain and sugar out, did you do it cold turkey or was it done over a period of time?

I cut grain, not sugar (limit it, though), and pretty much just did it cold turkey a few years ago. Once you understand the health benefits and are mentally committed, it's not bad.

Its like smoking... If it isn't lifestyle change then you won't ever really quit.
Most people keep bad habits as hobbies for the times they are bored... don't do that with excess carbs and sugar.
If you know you wont burn it off.... don't eat it.

There isn't much better than fish in the morning with whatever you've got. I really like the brisket with my breakfast, and more than ANYTHING, the pork green chili. THAT turns my crank. And them eggs, ooooh, RUNNY.

Eggs with bacon and ham is the way real men eat breakfast. They slug it down with strong black coffee.

I'm pretty sure I've had 6 eggs with at least 4 slices of bacon and a pile of veggies thrown in for the last 13 days straight. I'm more of a tea guy in the morning, though.

My wife hates when I do that...:facepalm2: I'm not much on bread anymore; therefore, the tortilla seems like a good compromise. The soppin's are just too good to waste.:drooling:
