Mr. Anthony

I was supposed to go meet up with some people tonight for the celebration, but 1) It's 10 degrees outside, 2) I was traveling back from Texas most of the day today and am running on two hours of sleep, and 3) I feel a bit under the weather. I'm staying in for the night and doing the most low-key New Year's Eve I've had in quite some time--roaring fire, warm slippers, football on the TV, a beautifully cooked grassfed ribeye with fresh sauteed veggies, a small glass of a nice Cab, and a heart full of great memories with the family from the last 10 days.
Assuming I feel better in the morning, I will continue my recent tradition of rising early in this new year and going for a hike in the snowy mountains in single-digit weather. It's a good field test of my cold-weather gear, combined with a beautiful hike--with no one around but foraging deer--that helps one focus on the goals of the coming year.
I'm planning on coming out of my corner and punching 2013 square in the face, then taking it to the mat and forcing a submission. I encourage you all to do the same.
A great New Year to you and yours. Live the good life...and the life that is good.
