First off, great book. Not only will I reread it several more times, I liked it enough that the men in my family will be getting their own copies for Christmas (along with the usual supply of ammo).
A couple of things I wish had been touched on, and maybe you can answer them here or elsewhere.
1) In some of your earlier Paladin era books you had a section in back listing further reading/resources, and I wish that had been included this time as well. In this current book you mention Seth Godin a couple of times, and also that Lind article. Who else should we be reading for business and financial insight?
2) I know you have touched on this before here at WT, but could you again give us a sample day's worth of success habits/disciplines that would be worthy of the rest of us adopting?
Thanks in advance.

Well...I would read Godin. He is a liberal as the day is long but I will take what I find useful from the devil himself if I have to. Gladwell is another good read. Good business books come out all the time. Don't waste your time with gun books (other than mine of course) or militia-political books. Spend your time reading about something that will pay.
Habits? Time is the most valuable thing we have. Use it well. I am up about 0500 HRS. I spend an hour studying the news around the world as it affects me. I don't give a crap about politics or "great things of national importance". I look for things that affcet me and act upon them.
I fix a gourmet breakfast (no rice krispies at the Taipan house) then take the Jr. Staff to school. At the offcie I spend time strategizing with the management staff, making deals and making evil plans. I coach the rowing team in powerlifting, then get a workout of my own, then dinner and quiet time before bed. I waste no time with worthless pursuits, worthless causes, or worthless people.

I've found I am much more on top of things, exercise, diet, studies, when I have a routine. An example...
5am - 7am - Get up, work out, eat well, morning ablutions, prepare mentally for the day ahead - read inspirational material, focus on visualization - visualize yourself conquering things that need to be conquered (work, a woman, a test, a thug who decides its your turn, etc).
Nighttime routine - Wash face, brush teeth, prepare whatever I need for tomorrow, stretching and breathing exercises for relaxation, read, sleep.

Kipling's "If" is a great motivational piece. It ends:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run
Yours is the world, and all that's in it
And what's more, you'll be a man, my son!

I waste no time with worthless pursuits, worthless causes, or worthless people.
That advice alone, if heeded, will guarantee you success in your endeavors.
Merry Christmas to all!

This book had a lot of Gabe's previous comments in it that I read for free right here on WT. But when I read them all together, twice in a row, something clicked in my mind. A seed that had been planted two years ago by Colombianito on a Skype call began to grow rapidly like it was on steroids.
This week, I purchased ALL the equipment I needed to start my company, and am awaiting the delivery of some materials before we can launch into the T&E stage. No more "what if"-ing or "what about"-ing or any of that. I simply picked something I'd like to make money at and JUMPED OFF THE CLIFF.
THE ABSOLUTE BEST ADVICE YOU'RE GOING TO GET ABOUT MAKING MONEY IS RIGHT HERE. FROM THESE TRIBAL ELDERS. EVERYTHING I LEARNED AND AM CONTINUING TO LEARN IS SUMMED UP IN THESE TWO POINTS -
1 - DO IT NOW. PERIOD.
2 - YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO WASTE WITH LIFE SUCKING ACTIVITIES OR PEOPLE.

And one more thing. Gabe, C, thanks for the help. Unfortunately I needed to be knocked on the head with the obvious. But you guys were willing to do it, and because of that, I'm moving forward, cutlass in hand and blood on my fists.
