There have been a lot of references to sans wallet in multiple threads from dirty tricks, to civilized purchasing. For those of you who don't use a traditional wallet, how do you carry your stuff and cash around?
I am treating myself to a new method of containing my cash, etc. this weekend and wanted some input.
Where does your concealed liscence go? Do you have a clip and cards/id somwhere else?
Thanks gents.

I always carry a wallet, with my IDs and usually with a little cash for minor purchases. Everything from my girls ring to the new washing machine and dryer were bought with folding cash, carried gangsta roll style. Now I dont always carry lots of cash, that would be silly. But when I plan on making a decent purchase or I am going shopping I prefer greenbacks.
Cash that folds can give you some leverage in any transaction you haggle. Most small businesses will give you a discount for cash too (mine will! Arr matey). Last few work vans I purchased, I used cash. But I always keep my eyes open, and I dont try to show it off. No reason to have to show off the smooth is fast drawstroke too.

I use what you described, a money clip/card carrier. One of those "Slim Clips" that used to be sold on tv commercials and infomercials. I bought mine from their website. It's been really tough and reliable, plus keeps my cash and cards all in the front pocket where it's less likely to be removed without my permission. My only complaint is you just stack the cards on top of eachother, so you have to prioritize what you use the most and put it on the top of the pile.
ID and CHL go in the clip too. I seldom carry cash on me, though that needs to change.

I looked around on line at some options. I think I am going to get just a clip and the clip with card holder and give both a shot. I may even use both of them for the "dirty trick" combo.

License's & single credit card inside folding money with a money clip holding it all together riding in left front pocket. I leave my wallet with its plethora of various cards in the glove box.

I carry the clip/card holder. The card holder has clear plastic on one side which shows my license. My CHL is right behind it, then a few cards. I normally carrying something less than $100 in mixed bills in the clip.

I guess I am a heathen. I don't worry about tossing a fake wallet. If I am in that situation, my "dirty trick" will involve movement and shooting.
Well there is a thought...

Front pocket wallet with a clip on it. I has room for most everything if you streamline your stuff.
Sciatica gets better too, I hate wearing a hockey puck on my rear.

Not very Bon Vivant, but I use a heavy rubberband. The wallet in my back pocket irritates the nerves in my jacked up back and I haven't found a money clip I like that has enough tension to hold stuff, but not so much tension that it doesn't tear bills as they get inserted.
+1 Every once in a while I get a new wallet when a particularly nice rubber band comes my way.

Ironically enough, my old Perry Ellis wallet had a card holder insert that I never used...I just tried it out and it works great.

Yup.
The only thing I'm tossing is lead aimed in his direction.

Tossing a fake wallet does not stop you from later throwing lead in his direction (as he is bending down to pick up the wallet).
It's cheating - so it is a good option for situations like this.

Ti Money Clip that will hold 1-35 bills in front pocket and ID case in back pocket with ID and needed cards.
I switched to a thin ID case once I hurt my back and never went back once I got back in shape and started carrying cash once one of my buddies showed me how handy having cash on me at all times was.
Oh and going through the ID case once or twice a year pulling out everything that has collected in it over the past few months keeps it on the thin side.

I have always been old school like my dad.
Wallet in left rear pocket, keys $ clip and misc stuff left front, small change in right front.....now EDC blade there as well.
My wallet has all the usual cards and my money clip which was a gift from my Mom at like age 10 is in the front left with bills.
No tactical purpose what so ever. Jut how it should be IMHO.
Thought about the clips that hold some cards and money but something about flashing a pic ID every time I want to pay for something with cash irks me. Plus I'm sentimental about my engraved clip that is pushing 30 years old.

Hi all.
Small amount of cash in front right pocket with my cards in a small
BASSPRO logo fishing license holder in the right rear pocket. The license
holder has two windows - one showing my state Ref's license and the other
showing my states CCW license. All the other cards are stuck behind them
In an orderly fashion.
Something else I do that is kind of against the grain.... The loop to my
remote broke on my Tundra so I keep it in the front right pocket and I just
leave the keys In the truck stashed in a "Super Secret" hiding place.
My Tunda is paid off and in great shape, but if it's stolen, I'll apply the
insurance towardsa new one.
Stay safe all!

I used to carry a small maxpedition wallet in my front pocket. I has held up well over the years and is great for if i travel but right now i am sporting leather ID wallet from Saddleback Leather. It is small enough to were you can only carry the essentials. Hides well in the tuxedo and looks classy if I have to pull it out.

I don't worry about drop wallets and such, but the best I've found is the rubber band off a bundle of Broccoli. Possibly not very Bon Vivant on one hand, but lately, especially from traveling I have come to appreciate minimalism in many areas. I have my debit card in the front, followed by my ID and CCW, a few other cards I don't use often after that. Cash sits on the back of the stack where it is easily accessible. You can easily stretch it to reach a card in the middle of the stack unlike a money clip, and the rubber also provides just enough grip to keep it from sliding out of your pocket while still going in and out easily. It is the most comfortable to carry, extremely handy, can grow or shrink as much as you need, waterproof, and free. Having owned several fine leather wallets, this is still my preference. Try it out, you might be surprised how much you like it!

You reminded me of this vid. Oh and yes it does work well! Specially when traveling through metal detectors and such.

I have a reaaaally thin leather wallet that I keep judiciously streamlined. I picked it up in Spain many years ago when I had some things stolen. I like it because it lets me access cards, licenses, etc without showing all of the contents like a money clip. My CHL stays facedown right behind my DL, so I can show my DL without exposing my CHL (like ID checks for booze or whatever), but can grab both if needed. The wallet stays in my front pocket, as several years ago I started having some lower back/hip pain from sitting on it.
I keep thinking I'd like to try out a money clip, but never do.
