I don't have a sig(yet) but I've killed deer with an AR with 75 grain ammo no problem. Hell a .22 will work if you do your part.

We can do so without the booger-eating-moron influence right here. Since I suspect some here tend to poach...pictures may not be possible...but if you can post them, drive on.

Just curious, is it legal to use a suppressor to hunt there?

I have a suppressed 10/22 and was showing it to the head of Fish and Game for my state. He loved it and asked about borrowing it sometime for squirrel hunting.

He either didn't realize it was suppressed or that it was illegal to use it for hunting.

Those photos are from Nebraska Sand Hills area. But it is legal now to hunt in AZ with a suppressor.

I'd say the 556R would be ideal for deer hunting in the eastern woods/mountains. The cartridge should be a great little deer cartridge if the right bullets are used. Deer hunting might be a good way to spend some time in the woods sneaking around with your rifle and see how your optices/ammo choices work out killing something besides paper/soda cans.
